The proposal under consultation would grant Anglian Water a fourth "vari- ation" to its appointment as a water and sewerage undertaker by allowing it to supply a site called Northstowe Phase 1 in Cambridge. New appointments and variations include one com- pany replacing another as the appointee for a specific geographic area. Anglian will take a bulk supply of water from Cam- bridge and charge custom- ers based on Cambridge Water's water charges. The regulator has said that Anglian Water will have to offer customers at least the equivalent levels of service to Cambridge Water. WaTEr Anglian wins supply deal on Cambridge's patch Iberdrola, Scottish Power's parent company, has built the first windfarm in Kenya in partnership with Gamesa. The £17 million, 16-turbine Ngong II windfarm near Nairobi has an installed capacity of 13.6MW and was funded by the Spanish enterprise internationalism fund (FIEM). It will be followed by a second, larger Kinangop windfarm with 38 turbines and an installed capacity of 61MW. The two renewable projects are part of a larger initiative by Iberdrola's subsidiary in Kenya to equip the capital with a reliable modern electricity system, as requested by three Kenyan generation companies.
