ALLIANCES 2015 23 GTM is one of the delivery partners working on Southern Water's AMP6 programme. The contract will involve GTM working on maintenance and improvements to water supply and wastewater treatment works in the western half – West Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight – of Southern Water's region. GTM is supported by strategic design partner Atkins on the framework. The last year has seen the successful completion of a £10M project for Anglian Water at Elsham, near Brigg, to extend the existing water treatment works for the production of high grade water to be supplied to industries on the Humber estuary. The current flagship project for Anglian Water is the construction of the brand new £36M Hall water treatment works at Newton- on-Trent in Lincolnshire. It uses an innovative combina- tion of processes that enable water from the River Trent to be treated at such a down- stream location for the first time. The scheme includes a large raw water reservoir and over 12km of pipelines. GTM is the collaboration between Galliford Try and Imtech Water, Waste & Energy, which came together at the start of AMP4 to target the Biosolids Special Projects for Anglian Water having successfully worked together in the Dwr Cymru Welsh Water Alliance in AMP3 in the north Wales region.
