ALLIANCES 2015 3 "There is de nitely a buzz in the industry..." Welcome to the Alliances 2015 – our de nitive guide providing an insight into the latest col- laborations formed in the water industry by the leading civil and process engineering business- es and consultants, as well as some of the water companies themselves. With AMP6 just a few months away, alliances are still the capital delivery model of choice. And there is de nitely a buzz in the industry at the moment now that contracts covering AMP5 and 5 are coming to end, providing even more opportunities for companies. This is leading to a number of contractors and consultants changing partners for AMP6 as they look to establish the right solutions that will meet the challenges of the next ve, ten and event 15 years. Unfortunately, this will mean that some existing collaborations will come to an end once their AMP5 projects are complete. Finally, there are many collaborative ventures working in the water industry and in compiling Alliances 2015 we have only scratched the sur- face. Omissions have not been intentional – if you are one these let me know. Maureen Gaines, Editor ALLIANCES 2015 COMMENT KEY ALLIANCES IN THIS ISSUE 4Delivery Costain; MWH; Veolia Water.
