ALLIANCES 2015 15 The CVA is the Costain, Veolia Water and Atkins joint venture. It is one of the two design & build partners in Thames Water's eight2O alliance (see p18). Under a new alliance model, Thames Water has brought together two design and build consortia, a programme manager and a technology and innovation provider. Collectively they will be responsible for delivering Caledonia Water Alliance (CWA) is a new consortium between Morrison Utility Services and AECOM that is the successful bidder to carry out Scottish Water's £360M water infrastructure delivery programme covering SR15 2015-21. The alliance will deliver upgrades, essential upgrades to water pipes, treatment facilities and sewers in the London and Thames Valley regions between 2015-2020. Prof Dr Uwe Krueger, Atkins' chief executive officer, said: "This important addition to our strong portfolio of clients is further evidence of the strength of the UK water market and will help smooth the transition between the cyclical funding periods so that key skills and maintenance and new infrastructure assets in Scotland. An element of the CWA's programme of work will be self-delivered, and the remainder delivered through contract partners. Charles Morrison, chief executive at Morrison US, capabilities are retained within the sector."
