WINGAS GmbH is a joint venture of Wintershall Holding GmbH in Kassel, Germany's largest
crude oil and natural gas producer, and Russia's OAO Gazprom. WINGAS has been active in
natural gas sales, trading and procurement since 1993 and also markets fiber-optic capacities for
telecommunications. The company supplies natural gas to public utilities, regional gas suppliers,
industrial companies and power plants. WINGAS is now one of the largest natural gas suppliers
on the German market with a market share of almost 20%. The company is also active in Belgium,
Denmark, France, the UK, Austria, the Netherlands and Czech Republic.

WINGAS GmbH & Co KG and ZMB Gasspeicherholding GmbH (ZGHG a subsidiary of Gazprom)
own WINGAS Storage UK Ltd (WSUK) and operate WSUK as a joint venture whose principal
purpose currently is the continuing exploitation of the Saltfleetby gas field with respect to further
production of gas in the near term and the creation of a gas storage facility as a long-term asset.
