With excavations in the highway becoming even more expensive, keyhole surgery can cut the time and expense of replacing failed boundary boxes. ü NRv 2 facilitates whole site protection against back ow up to uid Cat 3 ü NRv 2 ts between the water meter and the manifold. ü Designed to be installed into any boundary box (or Groundbreaker) ü Costs less than £10.00 per site to install. ü Patented, WRAS and KIWA approved For more information please call 01449 673 451 A D V E R T I S E M E N T F E A T U R E It is widely recognised that there are many of the traditional boundary box control surfaces which are coming to the end of their eff ective life, some of which could have been installed up to 30 years ago. The problem Early boundary boxes, unlike more recently installed units, do not have a removable and replaceable check valve cartridge and without remedial action they are a potentially high risk site for contamination of water services. The problem is being highlighted by the implementation of modern "smart" meter installation programs, where an alarm is triggered when 10 litres or more ows back from the property into the water mains, with the higher risk of contaminants being carried with it. Replacing the entire boundary box is time consuming and expensive. The solution NRv 2 is an innovative, proven, cost eff ective and reliable solution for updating the traditional boundary box without the need for a full excavation in the public footpath and the attendant high costs being associated with such work. At less than £10.00 per site, NRv 2 could be the most cost e ective solution available to the water industry today, and literally save £ millions in unnecessary works. NRv 2 quite simply ts between the water meter and the manifold (with failing check valve) to add another check valve (in series) – ifa double check valve is required to provide protection up to uid category 3, simply install two NRv 2 's. Reduce the risk of contamination, maintenance on street furniture and save time and money with NRv 2 Cut out expensive excavations in the highway It is widely recognised that there are many of the traditional boundary box control surfaces The problem is being highlighted by the implementation of modern "smart" meter installation programs, where an alarm is triggered when 10 litres or more ows back from the property into the water mains, with the higher risk of contaminants being carried with it. NRv 2 can also be used as a "sacri cial" interface between metal bodied meters or ttings and plastic manifolds or vice versa, thus avoidingdamage to apparatus.
