BBC news trainee. What are the best and worst parts of your job? The best part of my job is communicating the work British Gas does to help people today and secure energy for tomorrow, and in particular seeing from the inside how innovations such as smart meters are going to transform the control each of our customers has over their energy use. The worst part is the depiction of the energy sector as a pantomime villain. What's your dream job and why? I'd love to be a ghillie on one of the great fly-fishing rivers. Why? Indulgence and absorp- tion. What's your most treasured possession? My Triumph motorbike. Where did you last go on holiday? Swiss Alps. In the Hollywood film of your life, who would play you? Christopher Walken. Reveal something about yourself not many people know. I have interviewed Terry Waite in a broom cupboard, and Kylie Minogue while locked in her dressing room. What album is currently in your car CD player? I ride a motorbike, but we have a Robbie Williams CD in our family car. What's your favourite film and TV programme? My favourite film would be any of the Bourne series; my favourite television show is The Americans. What quote or saying do you most overuse? "This may be a stupid question, but…" If you ruled the world, what would you do first? Delegate! What's your favourite joke? Anything delivered by Lee Mack.
