A low-flying helicopter will be used
this week just south of Fort Augustus,
Scotland, to install overhead wires on
the next phase of the 220km Beauly-
Denny transmission link.
The first stage of the wiring opera-
tion involves flying seven lightweight
bonds along the 4km section of
towers. The ropes are attached to a
heavy-duty winch in preparation for
the next stage, to pull heavy wires
over the route.
