Open Energi's demand response technology can integrate with existing building management
systems (BMS) and, says the company, can turn an organisation's most energy-intensive equip-
ment into income.
The technology controls the energy consumption of assets such as air conditioning units, heat-
ers, boilers, pumps and chillers in response to peaks and troughs in electricity supply and demand.
National Grid will pay energy users who do this as it helps maintain power supplies.
It cuts consumption and carbon, improves energy security, has zero impact on business opera-
tions and provides a revenue stream.
