With our own on-site Laboratory (currently in the process of obtaining UKAS accreditation) and a team of 16 people, the department covers the main chemical and microbiological aspects of water analysis. Additionally the department takes the lead role on DWSP's and catchment management. The role running alongside the Water Quality Manager will form part of the Company's senior management team and as such a key area will be the ability to communicate and build relationships with all areas of the business both at operational and Director level and also with our regulators. As with any senior role it is expected that any applicant will be able to demonstrate good leadership skills allied with plenty of experience gained from within a senior management position in the area of Water Quality. A pro- active approach along with a good track record in H&S will be a pre-requisite for any applicant. It is taken for granted that any successful applicant will have a degree in a science related subject as well as being chartered in a science related discipline preferably either a Chartered Chemist or Scientist.
