NYSEG needed to expand capacity at
Big Tree, its 1940s-built substation in
Buffalo, New York state, it found there
wasn't enough room to install the two
new 115kV capacitor banks where they
needed to be, so Connecticut-based
company Kerite was given the job of
burying the banks underground and
connecting the whole thing up with
