Denyer says, "We are seeing an increase in demand for flexible service offerings." www.envirogengroup.com GPS pipe sparks new interest Gully waste system order for Telford Utilities supplier, GPS PE Pipe Systems, has moved into the electrical industry after supplying its polyethylene Push-Fast pipe and fittings system for a major power project in France. A major £168M infrastructure project will involve the installation of three 225,000V underground lines to guarantee security of electrical supply. GPS's Push-Fast pipe Energy company RTE has specified 30,600m of 225mm Push-Fast pipe and fittings for a cable duct to house the underground link between the towns of Boutre and Trans in south-east France. www.gpsuk.com/push-fast Road sweeper and gully-emptier hire company, Go Plant, has purchased a Gritbuster System for its Shropshire Road Sweepers operation in Telford. Manufacturer Silbuster says this is the first time the system has been deployed in Gritbuster recycling the Midlands. It is expected to save the system company tens of thousands of pounds a year by processing up to 80t/d. The Gritbuster system enables Go Plant to recycle more of its sweeper and gully waste, reducing waste disposal costs. www.siltbuster.com Metal can manufacturer selects pipework Wessex Water orders pipe coil trailers When the UK's largest metal can manufacturer, Emballator Packaging, decided to develop a new plastic division at its Bradford headquarters, the company turned to specialist plastic pipe distributor ABS pipework installation PipeKit to supply Astore ABS pipework and fittings. The 4,000m2 plant required high quality pipework to meet the requirements of the two large water-cooling circuits. Emballator's engineering manager, Mike Leach, said PipeKit's competitive pricing, extensive range and technical support had led to the company becoming a preferred supplier. www.pipekit.co.uk Wessex Water has taken delivery of six high-capacity pipe coil trailers manufactured by Steve Vick International. The newly designed Pipe coil trailer 90/500 trailers are the first available in the UK to transport and dispense 500m coils of PE with diameters from 63mm to 90mm.
