BUSINESS CORPORATEPEOPLE Andrews promoted to leAd nitto globAl membrAne division dUdek Appoints CArlsbAd expert As environmentAl mAnAger Japan's nitto group has promoted brett Andrews to be Ceo of Hydranautics and managing director of the global membrane division, effective 1 october 2013. Andrews has over 24 years of experience in the field of membrane technology and water treatment chemicals. He joined Hydranautics in July 2007 as vice president of sales and marketing and was promoted to president and chief operating officer of Hydranautics in June 2008. in his new role, Andrews will be responsible for leading nitto's global membrane division, consisting of oceanside, California, UsA; shiga, Japan; and shanghai, China. Andrews will continue to work from Hydranautics' headquarters in oceanside. Andrews will be taking over from Yasushi nakahira, who will now lead the nitto denko base Functional products division based in toyohashi, Japan. the lead environmental planner for the Carlsbad desalination plant, Joe monaco, is to manage the environmental division of California consulting firm dudek, headquartered in encinitas. monaco has more than 25 years' experience providing environmental planning services to clients in the public and private sector. He joined dudek in 1999 as a senior project manager and serves on the firm's board of directors. His expertise focuses on environmental impact analysis, current and advance planning, public environmental policy development, and hazardous materials investigation and cleanup. He is a leading expert on environmental permitting issues related to California seawater desalination facilities and a frequent speaker at desalination conferences. new members on H2o innovAtion boArd shareholders of membrane-system provider H2o innovation inc elected two new directors to the board at the company's annual general meeting at its headquarters in Quebec City, Canada, on 12 november 2013. shareholders re-elected the following directors: philippe gervais, chairman of the board, Frederic dugré, president and Ceo, laurence e gamst, lisa Henthorne, richard Hoel and elaine C phenix. the two new board members are pierre Cote and Jean-real poirier. Among these eight directors, seven are external directors and independent.
