It is working to complete this goal by 2025. The Board oversees the development and implementa•on of the company's strategy to meet this objec•ve. Smart Energy GB's opera•ons are focused on encouraging domes•c consumers and microbusinesses to get a smart meter. It also has a responsibili• to increase the willingness of consumers to change their behaviour to enable them to more effec•vely and efficiently manage their consump•on of energy. There is also a requirement that we communicate with customers in vulnerable circumstances to ensure they are aware of and understand the benefits of smart meters. All non-execu•ve directors serve as full directors of the company in an individual capaci•. Consequently, they have a legal responsibili• to exercise independent judgement and in all their ac•ons as a non-execu•ve director act in the best interests of Smart Energy GB and support the company in mee•ng its objec•ves.
