westernpower.co.uk Electricity Network Connection Appointments For WPD customers and independent connection providers Western Power Distribution (WPD) is the electricity distribution network operator (DNO) for South Wales, South West England and the Midlands. We operate the regional electricity network and provide new connections to homes, businesses and generation sites at voltages from 230 volts to 132,000 volts. Ahead of applying to us for a new connection and particularly for Generation Connections, our customers and Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) often have questions and want to understand more about the process, timescales, technical matters, consents/legal requirements and possible constraints of making a connection to the network in a particular area. If you are a landowner, an ICP, developer or community group and you need to discuss your requirements and the connection process, before making an actual application for a new connection to the network, please contact WPD on the relevant number. For details of our operational area please visit our website Please mention that your enquiry is for connection appointments when you call. wpdconnectappoint@westernpower.co.uk South West & Wales: 0800 028 6229 Midlands: 0800 121 4909 Utility Week events calendar Water Security in a Changing Environment Conference 29 June Ensuring a secure supply of water for future generations https://event.wwtonline.co.uk/ security/ Phosphorus Removal from Wastewater 7 July Uniting the wastewater indus- try to enhance p removal and recovery for the future https://event.wwtonline.co.uk/ phosphorus/ UW Consumer Vulnerability and Debt Conference 14 September The fl agship event for those tasked with solving the debt and vulnerability challenge https://event.utilityweek.co.uk/ vulnerability/ UW Network Asset Performance Conference 21 September Future-proofi ng asset management strategies and reaching clean growth ambi- tions https://event.networks.online/ asset/ Water Industry Asset Management Conference 5 October The only dedicated event for senior asset, capital delivery and supply chain leaders within water companies and tier 1 contractors https://event.wwtonline.co.uk/ asset/ UW Adapting for Net Zero 16 November https://event.utilityweek.co.uk/ netzero Drinking Water Quality Conference 3 November Supporting asset performance innovation through the energy transition https://event.wwtonline.co.uk/ drinking/ Water Industry Innovation Conference 1 December Driving cultural & technologi- cal innovation in water Utility Week also runs regular topical webinars and hosts invitation-only debate events with participation from sen- ior industry leaders.
