The introduction of Callisto creates the largest provider of Data Management to Energy Suppliers. M Group Services Energy Retail are excited to launch a new, independent data management business called "Callisto". Formally embedded within sister operating business Morrison Data Services, Callisto has been created to promote further growth and investment to its already well established products and services as well as consider the future needs of a changing customer base and market. Remaining part of the MGS Energy Retail division, with continued alignment to the wide range of field services provided by Morrison Data Services and ProtectMyProperty, the launch will enable renewed focus whilst continuing the attributes that has delivered success to date. As part of Morrison Data Services, Callisto has grown rapidly over the past decade, with the business becoming the largest provider of regulated Data Management Services for the energy retail sector including relationships with British Gas, E.ON, OVO, Bulb and Tonik directly or through its Universal Supplier Service (USS) delivered in conjunction with Utiliteam. Managing data for ~23m unique metering points every month, Callisto has a turnover of nearly £25m in its own right. The creation of Callisto enables the capability and service offering provided to energy retailers to be clearer for customers and better support the wider Energy Retail Divisions' core activities, future growth and business plans. So what Does Callisto have to offer? Callisto will provide all of the services related to Data Management that MDS provided including: • Regulated Data Flows including Data Collection (DC) / Data Aggregation (DA), Meter Operations (MOP), Meter Asset Management (MAM) and Meter Asset Provision (MAP) • Universal Supplier Service (USS) in partnership with Utiliteam • Half Hourly Services • Smart Data Retrieval (Automated Meter Reading and Data Loggers) Callisto will continue to invest heavily in advanced technologies including the launch of a new Half-Hourly platform, which will facilitate innovative services in the market, including Elective Half-Hourly settlement. Recent wins with OVO and E.ONnext to deliver DC/DA services further add to the growing business and its market position. Recent long term contract extensions of the USS offering have also been completed. Simon Best, MGS Energy Retail Managing Director, commented: "Callisto will allow us to enhance our existing customer relationships as well as build on new ones, as we position ourselves to delivering the services required of a future thinking energy supplier. This is a very exciting time for the growth of the business with the recent new wins and continued investment we are making. We have a proven track record of delivery best in class services at a market leading scale that gives our customers assurance that we are the ideal partner for their Data Management needs."
