22 | 27TH MARCH - 2ND APRIL 2020 | UTILITY WEEK High viz NI Water has completed a £4 million state-of-the-art wastewater treatment works at the village of Maghaberry in County Antrim, replacing the exist- ing works. The site will now meet the needs of the growing village population and the expansion of the nearby prison. Infrastructure minister Nichola Mallon said about 5,000 people in the area would benefit from the new works and that water quality in the Glen River and River Lagan would improve. "This highlights the far-reaching ben- efits that investment in our wastewater infrastructure can have," she said.
