PLASSON adds to pipe repair range Water fi ttings specialist PLASSON UK's new Slide N Seal Universal Slip Coupler is a solution for connecting or repairing multiple pipe types. The company is now off er- ing a 19-22mm version to provide a simple and reliable on-site solution. Suitable for a wide variety of applications with almost any pipe material, the PLASSON couplers are quick and easy to fi t and can be demounted and reused just as easily. The product is easy is easy to use thanks to its zero force pipe insertion design which allows the Slide N' Seal to be easily moved back and forth along the pipe. The U1000 V2 from GF Piping Systems is a metering device that can be used for process control purposes: including dosing of additives, batching, blending and safety. The product is ideal for use in potable water or sewage treatment works. What's good about it? Rather than being an in-line unit or requiring a borehole, the new U1000 V2 model utilises ultrasound technology to achieve accurate, contactless data readings. What do they say? "Across many sectors, oversized fl ow meters are still used frequently: requiring installation by specialists and the costly interruption of production for retrofi tting," comments Yannic Baeuchle, product manager for automation. "This increases demands on the workforce. Additionally, invasive sensors can encounter aggressive conditions and therefore o en prove to be less durable. Fitted onto pipe diameters from 22-180mm, and positioned 'without' rather than within the fl ow, U1000 V2 meters eliminate contamination and ensure a long low maintenance life is guaranteed." The Knowledge Products New pump from Sykes Pump hire specialist, Sykes Pumps, has launched a new addition to its range with the introduction of the 12" electric automatic self- priming surface mounted UV301M. A cost-eff ective, low-noise solution suitable for a wide range of construction, utilities, emergency sewage, fl ood response, manu- facturing, industrial and agricultural applications, the new UV301M is capable of fl ows up to 450 litres per second and heads of up to 36 metres. The pump has a solids handling impeller and a back fl ush feature designed into the unit to help clear potential blockages. Sanicubic 1 VX A new model has been added to the Sanicubic lifting station range from Saniflo. The Sanicubic 1 VX features a Vortex waste discharge system that can pump away without the need to macerate first and reduces the risk of clog- ging. IP68 certified, the unit features a single motor and has a flow rate of 40m³/hour making it ideal for light commercial ap- plications or a large single dwelling. With its large 60 litre capacity tank the Sani- cubic 1 VX has a maximum lift height of 13m and can remove wastewater from multiple locations includ- ing WC, bathroom, kitchen or laundry.
