Executed by creative studios PlayLab Inc, Family New York and Floating Point, and Columbia Univer- sity's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observa- tory, + Pool Light tracks and reports the physical conditions of the water off Pier 17 in real time. A series of sensors, part of a Fluidion Alert system, take samples of the water and test and analyse them for levels of salinity, toxins and harmful pathogens.
