Borger ONIXline Capable of handling 16 bar ap- plications, the ONIXline pump is now available with superior rotors that provide maximum energy effi ciency through gentle, almost pulsation-free pumping. Ideal for industrial high-pressure installations such as waste, chemical and oil, ONIXline has no wearing parts and is equipped with precision bearings that restrict sha movement. Designed with fl ow-simulation so ware, the pump benefi ts from a large-volume intermediate chamber that allows open or closed operation. A robust car- rier and timing gear minimises clearance between rotors and the pump casing, and there is the added feature of inter- changeable cartridge seals and a small footprint. OTHER TOP PICKS FOR PUMPS AND BLOWERS Next month: Sensors and instrumentation THE DETAILS Landia BioMover ● developed for mixing plastic carrier elements in MBBR and IFAS tanks● can handle all kinds of bio media from diff erent manufacturers● wide range with several motor sizes and customised propellers ensures effi cient mixing of the contents in all tank types and sizes What is it? Landia's slow-moving stainless-steel BioMover mixer/pump is designed to very gently mix all kinds of bio media in MBBR and IFAS processes. What's good about it? Suitable for mixing plastic carrier elements from diff erent manufacturers, the calming action of the Landia BioMover not only prevents the bio media from wearing down but is also very energy- effi cient. During mixing, full contact between the bacteria and the nutrients is maintained while, at the same time, excess bacteria is removed from the bio media. Landia's BioMover also ensures that the entire contents of the tank are kept in motion, preventing biomass from clogging sieves or settling at the bottom of the tank. What they say: Landia UK sales manager Paul Davies says: "Landia's BioMover is designed specifi cally for the very gentle mixing of bio media in MBBR and IFAS processes, so that when plastic carrier elements rotate and make contact, bacteria can grow without being knocked off , or otherwise destroyed." The Knowledge Products: Pumps and pumping systems Hydra-Cell D66 Series Wanner Engineering has introduced the new Hydra-Cell D66 Series seal-less positive displacement pumps for use in a wide range of process- ing, OEM, municipal and commercial applications. The new Hydra-Cell pumps off er a maximum fl ow capacity of 248.7 l/min and pressure rat- ings up to 700 psi (48 bar) for models featuring brass, ductile iron, or 316L stainless steel (metallic) pump heads and 250 psi (17 bar) for models equipped with polypropylene (non-metallic) pump heads. Spring-loaded, horizontal disk check valves and the seal-less design enable model D66 pumps to handle viscous fl u- ids and abrasive particulates up to 800 microns in size. CAPRARI K+ Energy range CAPRARI has expanded the K+ Energy range of electric pumps aimed at wastewater manage- ment. The range now has 33 new models of four- and six- pole electric pumps. The pump requires no additional main- tenance and does not waste energy. Thanks to motors in effi ciency class comparable to IE3, as defi ned in Regula- tion 640/2009 specifi c for surface motors, the K+ Energy electric pumps are designed to ensure a high performance. The electric pump features class H electrical insulation for maximum thermal shock resistance. High-performance materials and new, 'cooler' motors are included for maxi- mum operation reliability in the hardest applications. PRODUCT OF THE MONTH www.wwtonline.co.uk | WWT | AUGUST 2019 | 31
