Work on an £11 million water treat-
ment site in Northumberland has
reached a key milestone.
The steel frame for Northumbrian
Water's new water treatment works
in Murton, Berwick-upon-Tweed, is
up and out of the ground, as the new
building begins to takes shape.
And last week, the first part of the
roof was lowered on to the building
(inset).
Once it is watertight, the water
company will begin to kit it out
with the new treatment plants and
equipment over the summer.
