engagement programme, coupled with care-
ful pre-planning and ecological sensitivity,
has seen infrastructure specialist Barhale
complete the connection of a foul water
sewer pipe to a new housing development of
around 600 properties.
The 14-month, £1.4 million project, in
collaboration with Yorkshire Water and Ken
Rodney Construction, has involved laying
1.37km of pipe under a golf course, over a
river, across Duchy of Lancaster land and
down a residential street on the north edge
of Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
Of the 1,370m of pipe laid, 620m that
runs under Northcliffe Golf Club and adja-
