16 | 22ND - 28TH MARCH 2019 | UTILITY WEEK High viz On 15 March, Red Nose Day, one of the domes of Future Biogas's Grange Farm Energy biogas plant was illuminated in red light, officially making it the biggest ever red nose in the history of Comic Relief. Measuring 38m in diameter and 17m tall, the red nose was as tall and wide as three double-decker buses. The 5MW anaerobic digestion plant in Spridlington, Licolnshire, is normally used to turn crops into biomethane which is injected into the national gas grid. The creation of the giant red nose was the culmination of the company's fundraising activities for Comic Relief, which also involved a "splat the management" event in which the senior team from Future Biogas plant sniffs out some fun Operations & Assets High viz
