WHERE THERE'S A SKILL THERE'S A WAY The Network Awards judging day took place last month and it was brilliant to see so many great entries across all the categories. As we enter what is set to be a vital year for the industry the day acted as a timely reminder of the good work taking place across the sector. With so much innovation and collaboration highlighted the judges faced a tough task in picking the winners. To see a full list of shortlisted entries across the 13 categories turn to page 14. The Apprentice of the Year category was particularly competitive with some awe-inspiring stories highlighting individuals who are starting out in the industry. It got me thinking that the energy sector really is one of the most exciting and innovative places to come and work. Sometimes people have an impression that a sector such as ours can be a bit one dimensional. But when you consider the changes taking place across the energy sector it's clear that the range of skills and breadth of talent that we need will continue to change quite radically. My view is that everyone in the industry will need to play a part in ensuring that this talent comes through. It's about inspiring the next generation or someone who you already work with that they can achieve great things and make a diƒ erence. So, … nd an area you can help lead on and let people know why what you do is so important. Let them know that this sector continues to solve problems in an eƒ ort to improve the world. I hope to see a number of you on 26th March for what promises to be a great evening of celebration at the Network Awards. And don't forget we have the Network Forum taking place on the same day – an event that oƒ ers attendees an opportunity to learn about the innovative work taking place across the sector.
