The deal, will see Balmoral retain W.E.T's current manage- ment and workforce of 25, inte- grating it into its structure. Established in 1992, W.E.T operates throughout the UK and has been providing legionella sampling and risk assessments, water hygiene monitoring ser- vices, tank cleaning and reme- dial works since 1991. W.E.T currently provides ser- vices to 2000 sites UK-wide for A sset International Ltd has become the first manufac- turer of HDPE structured wall systems to achieve a HAPAS accreditation for pipe structures larger than 900mm. The water management spe- cialist has received a Highway Authorities' Product Approval Scheme (HAPAS) accreditation from British Board of Agrément (BBA) for its Weholite pipes, fit- tings and systems for sizes from 1000mm to 3500mm. The accreditation, which means that Weholite structures are considered suitable and beneficial for use in highways, makes them the first, and cur- rently only, products of their kind to hold this approval. H ydro International has announced the comple- tion of the strategic acquisition of Oxford Scientific So•ware, the company behind the Aquator so•ware platform. Aquator enables engineers and analysts to create and run complex models of water resource systems. It is used by water utility companies to determine whether water net- works can supply sufficient water to meet customer demand and by environment agencies to audit company blue chip organisations includ- ing NHS trusts, county councils, schools, care homes, housing associations and property man- agement companies. Allan Joyce, managing direc- tor at Balmoral Tanks, said: "Our stake in W.E.T provides a platform to extend our service offering to our global client base. To date in 2018 almost one third of our UK manufactured products have been exported around the world. "The acquisition underpins Balmoral's strategy of differ- entiation in the market place. Our ambition is to be the num- ber one tank design, manufac- turing and services company in the world." Plastic pipes with an inter- nal diameter greater than 900 mm are classed as 'structures' and do not yet have an official technical standard for use in highways. In the past, this might have excluded plastic pipes over 900mm being uti- lised in highways projects, or at the least made it a very difficult and drawn out process. How- ever, the HAPAS certificate should now help to remove such barriers and allow the acceptance of these products to be a far less onerous affair. Water Now Aqua 125E Water Now has launched the new Aqua 125E water purification system, which is designed to provide clean water in environ- ments where commercial power is available but guaranteed clean drinking water is not. It is based on the same water purification technology as the Aqua 125 (pictured) and connects to commercial electrical power, which means the new system can run 24/7. Eaton MAX-LOAD coreless filter bags Eaton has launched its MAX-LOAD coreless filter bags to extend its range of versatile filter bags. They are made of melt-blown material and are suitable for applications involving high retention ratings, such as water treatment, filtration of bulk and fine chemicals or metal cleaning. The rigid, graduated material structure has a depth of over 18mm and therefore offers a protective shield against hard, metallic, as well as deformable, gel-like contaminants. For widely varying operating conditions, reliability can be increased through an outer mesh cover of polyamide 6.6 with a thickness of 10μm. MAX-LOAD filter bags can be used in Eaton TOPLINE single bag filter housings and MAXILINE multi-bag filter housings, which are designed for AmeriWater PRO4 reverse osmosis systems Water purification specialist AmeriWater has launched its new PRO4 Series of reverse osmosis (RO) systems. The PRO4 series is capable of producing flow rates ranging from 2,400 up to 19,200 gallons a day (around 9,000 to 73,000 litres). Available as a standard or deluxe system, the PRO4 Series is designed for use in the commercial and industrial sectors and for a wide range of applications.
