www.wwtonline.co.uk | NOVEMBER 2018 | 31 VEGAPULS WL 61 and VEGAMET 391 VEGA will also be at WWEM 2018, presenting the VE- GAPULS WL 61 and VEGAMET 391. The VEGAPULS WL 61 radar sensor is suitable for all water and sewage water applications, particularly water processing and pump stations as well as overfl ow basins, for fl ow measurement in open fl umes and gauge monitor- ing. The VEGAMET 391 signal conditioning instrument is suitable for simple control tasks in level, gauge and pro- cess pressure measurements as well as for inventory man- agement (VMI) and remote enquiry. In the water/sewage water industry, the instrument boasts special functions such as pump switching-over, fl ow volume measurement, ten- dency functions and totaliser. OTHER TOP PICKS FOR SENSORS AND INSTRUMENTATION NEXT MONTH: Water treatment THE DETAILS AVT Reliability Machine Sentry MSO-1 ● low-cost, high-speed online condition-based monitoring (CBM) system ● off ers real-time management of safety- and business-critical assets ● small size and low power consumption What is it for? Machine Sentry MSO- 1 is a condition-based monitoring system that is suitable for installation on assets ranging from standard rotating equipment to advanced turbo machinery such as power generators. What's good about it? The critical vibration data captured is stored in the Machine Sentry database, where it is integrated with data from other CM techniques. This detailed CM data can be securely accessed from anywhere in the world via a standard web browser, allowing continuous monitoring, highly critical asset management, failure detection and troubleshooting. Its small size, low power consumption, Ethernet/ Wi-Fi/4G optional web connectivity, email alarm notifi cation and high storage capability make the system easy to install, operate and maintain. What do they say? Frederic Thomas, managing director of AVT Reliability, said: "Machine Sentry MSO-1 is a genuine game- changer. The Machine Sentry suite of products and so ware is a unique solution revolutionising the condition monitoring world and brings industry 4.0 one step closer to reality." The Knowledge Sensors and instrumentation SEAL Analytical AA500 autoanalyser SEAL Analytical will be showcas- ing the AA500 at WWEM 2018 (see P29). A fully automated, high throughput, segmented fl ow analyser, the AA500 features compact, all-in-one housing and uses modular components to deliver a com- pact analyser with more organi- sation, more integration and more powerful control while also using less bench space. System modules can be stan- dalone or used to replace AA3 modules. It also provides up to six channels for simultaneous analysis of multiple parameters with ultra-low detection limits and excellent repeatability. It is designed specifi cally for envi- ronmental applications, making it ideal for analysing nutrients in water, wastewater, seawater, soil, fertilizer and plant extracts. Detectronic MSFM MCERTS Flow Meter Detectronic has launched the MSFM MCERTS Flow Meter for part-fi lled pipes and open- channels. The MSFM MCERTS fl ow meter is a self-contained, battery-powered insertion multi-sensor monitor and is certifi ed to deliver guaranteed fl ow measurement accuracy for sites that require verifi cation by MCERTS inspectors. Detec- tronic's Phill Tuxford said: "The MSFM MCERTS is extremely ver- satile since it is not reliant on a fl ume or weir to deliver accurate fl ow measurement. It can be located almost anywhere in the existing sewer channel or pipe to be monitored and will deliver guaranteed levels of accuracy and the data-quality required to inform and achieve MCERTS compliance – with little or no civils work required."
