Conventional suspended bowl pumps are not gener- ally considered a solution for waste water applications. They are designed for clean water service and typically have a higher number of im- peller vanes and narrower hydraulic passages. Bedford Pumps have resolved this issue by engineering pumps with solid passing capabilities between 90-200mm, depend- ant on pump size. In addition, they have re-engineered the bowl design to incorporate special swept diffuser vanes which allow the passage of large solids and even fibrous "mean time between failure". Bedford Pumps are world leaders in the design and manufacture of such special- ist robust and reliable pump- ing plant. Their engineering team has decades of experi- ence in both hydraulic and mechanical design using the latest state of the art soware to optimise and analyse their product. +44 (0)1234 852071 www.bedfordpumps.com H IG H CAPACITY BESPOKE PUM PING PLANT High capacity radial, mixed and axial flow pumps engineered with either metallic or concrete casings 100% Bri sh manufactured Flows from 500 l/s to 20,000 l/s A vertical suspended pump in position 8 | INNOVATION 2018
